How do we look after your property? - Part 3 Safety Legislation
These are legal requirements to keep up-to-date for the care and safety of your tenants and property.
Whether arranged by ourselves, yourself or a third party contract is in place its imperative they are carried out.
Legal safety Certificate renewals:
- Gas is required annually
- Electrical (EICR) is 5 yearly
- EPC is every 10 years (It can lapse but a new certificate is then required before remarketing of the property). Exemptions exist.
Other safety/service certificates:
- Oil (OFTEC engineers) to service and inspect oil fired installations atleast annually
- Legionnaires and chimney sweeps (if applicable)
